GJ-100 galvanized steel strand, 1x19, 100 square millimetre section, the workhorse guy strand on substation and tower projects.
GJ grades exist so that a design office and a purchasing office can talk about the same thing. GJ-100 means a nominal one hundred square millimetre steel section, hot dip galvanized, in a defined construction with a defined minimum breaking load. When a specification calls for it, buying a strand that looks about the right size is not the same purchase.
At one hundred square millimetres the strand is stiff, heavy enough to hang in a straight line, and it takes standard guy clamps and anchor rods without special fittings. This is the size we ship most often for substation guy sets and for tower anchor systems where the guy is part of the structural design and not an afterthought.
Key Features| Parameter | Specification |

The main uses are substation guy sets, transmission tower anchor guys, and heavy static tensioning on industrial structures. It is also used as a catenary support strand and as an anchorage element for safety netting on large construction sites.
Because the section and strength are standardised, it is also the strand buyers pick when a project specification lists GJ grades by name and the inspector will check the marking against the drawing before accepting delivery.
Each lot is sampled for breaking load, elongation and zinc mass, and the certificate is issued against the reel number. Marking is applied to the reel and, on request, to a stainless tag wired to the strand end so the inspector can identify the item after delivery.
Diameter, area and lay length are measured at three points per reel. We also inspect for broken wires and for exposed steel at wire crossover, which is where a galvanizing line that is running slightly cool leaves thin spots.
Packaging and DeliveryWooden or iron reels of 500m to 2000m, or cut lengths coiled and strapped for substation work. Reels are marked with designation, area, length, breaking load and lot number, and the packing list matches reel numbers to the test certificates.
1x19 galvanized steel strand made from high-carbon steel. Offers high tensile strength (1270-1670MPa), excellent corrosion resistance, and low ductility. Ideal for power lines, communication cables, and farm structures. Certified with ISO, CE, and SGS.
High-strength 1.0mm galvanized steel strand with 7x0.33 structure. Offers excellent corrosion resistance, flexibility, and precise tension control. Ideal for fiber optic cable reinforcement. Certified with ISO, CE, SGS standards.
1x3 galvanized steel strand offers superior corrosion resistance with hot-dip zinc coating and 40% better anti-torsion strength. Lightweight design for easy handling, available in 2.9-4.0mm diameters. Certified with ISO, CE, SGS for power, construction, and transportation applications.
