8x19+WS PVC Coated Galvanized Steel Wire Rope 4mm Cable
Clotheslines and light strings tend to fail from the inside out. The steel core corrodes, a few wires snap, and within a season the line sags or drops a run of bulbs. Coating a galvanised 8x19+WS rope in PVC attacks that problem directly: the zinc under the jacket does the corrosion work, and the plastic skin keeps rain, garden hose spray and coastal salt off the metal. The 8x19 outer layer laid over a wire strand core bends cleanly around hooks and turnbuckles, so it does not kink the way a stiff strand will. Coated to roughly 4mm, the rope is light enough to string across a patio but still carries wet washing and long festoon runs with margin. We extrude the jacket on our own line, so colour and diameter hold steady from one order to the next, and sizes, lengths and end fittings can be built to your drawing.
Key Features
  • Galvanised core first: a zinc layer sits under the plastic, so if the jacket is nicked the wire does not flash rust overnight.
  • Supple 8x19+WS build: eight outer strands over a wire strand core bend through small hooks and eyes without kinking.
  • Jacket about 0.8mm thick: enough to take UV, rain and everyday rubbing, but still light along a long span.
  • Black, white or clear: pick a colour that disappears against timber, render or foliage instead of drawing the eye.
  • Sized for domestic loads: at 4mm finished diameter it holds wet laundry and runs of festoon lights comfortably.

Applications
